About

Hi! I’m Erika.

I am currently a freshman studying Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology at Purdue University. I’m the brain behind The Pint Sized Powerlifter. A little about me: in 2016 I began orthorexia recovery after loosing 30lbs to obsessive eating habits and food rules that I thought would make me healthier. I’ve seen the ugliest of just about every dietary restriction imaginable: from vegan to vegetarian to paleo to keto to IIFYM to sugar-free to whole foods to low-sodium and more. Throughout my recovery journey (including concurrent Generalized Anxiety/OCD treatment), I have worked tirelessly to develop less rigid and truly healthy eating and exercise habits. Along the way, I have discovered a passion for lifting and spent nearly four years developing my own training programs and studying form, technique, and nutritional habits. I love to learn, problem-solve, and dive deep into internet rabbit holes. So, I decided to start this blog as a way to organize the nuggets of insight I have gained along the way and share my unique life experiences. Thanks for sticking around!
